Being busy is not a good thing. There are a lot of busy people producing absolutely nothing and getting zero return on their investment. Here is a big clue for finding balance and integrating your life:

Doing less produces more: more time for God, your family, self-reflection, and relaxation.

By creating a schedule that works for your lifestyle, you give yourself more quality time to enjoy each moment of every day. When you take the time to breathe deeply and feel the breath traveling through your body, you become refreshed and recharged.

Time with God is beneficial and necessary for proper balance. It is His plan that will help you to integrate your life and business for success.

The time with your family is precious. You should cherish every moment you have with them and use your time together to strengthen your relationship through love, gratitude, and support.

If you are serious about finding the balance necessary for a better business and more fulfilled life then refuse to over-schedule yourself. Do not allow yourself to become too busy in life. By balancing your time, you can give attention to those things that matter most; like God and yourself. When you keep your mind focused and pay attention to the most important thing you will be better able to focus on each area of your life and give everything your very best.

When you balance your time effectively, your work improves, your family is respected, and you feel happier and healthier.

In your schedule, be sure to include time for God and self-reflection. This enables you to grow and improve. You need to also give a high priority to “me time” and relaxation in my daily plan. Your life will become richer because of the quality time you give yourself.

Don’t be ashamed to give yourself this time because you are worth it and everything in your life is made better when you are good to yourself.

Today, try to focus on creating a schedule that is right for you. Not everyone can create the same exact schedule but everyone can have a schedule that works for them.

The purpose of creating this schedule is not to fill I up with busy stuff. The purpose is to find balance for your life and business.

Here are some questions to consider as you create your schedule:

Have I created me time in my schedule?

How do I typically over-extend myself?

Have I taken the time to sit back and enjoy the day?

Integration Tip: Using the Google calendar is a good was to look at your daily schedule on both the life and business ends. For me it allows me to see what is most important for me to do, what I can outsource so that I have quality time to do those things that matter most.

This may sound a little bit strange but when you are trying to balance things out, you need to go backwards. That’s right! When your life is imbalanced you need to take a look at where it started and this means you have to go back where you came from.

Take steps today to find out where it all went haywire. For this you may have to go all the way back to your roller skating, hop scotch days. However far back you need to go…GO! Fill in as much of the picture as possible and then move forward.

You cannot avoid pain or hurt. You cannot ignore that balance comes from dealing with the place where everything started going wrong in your life.

Once you have determined the place where havoc started to rear its ugly head, then you can stick a pen in it and move on. Take a look at your life today and determine how that part of your past plays into the imbalance you deal with now.

Let me give you a few examples of how the past may have hindered your attempt to balance.

Your mother was a perfectionist and expected you to behave in the same manner. She wanted a perfectly made bed, a spotless room, and glasses that sparkled with no streaks. You grew up and determined that you would never be like her. So your home is a mess and you could care less if the kids’ room looks like a tornado ran through it. Your philosophy is “life it too short to be so darn neat”.

You were teased about your looks as a child. You were called horrible names and it left deep scars. As you grew up you focused on always looking your best no matter what. You even went and got a few nips and tucks to help you feel more confident about you. However you are still feeling the pain of the past and it haunts your mind often. Will you ever be accepted by others?

You were married to a person who never supported anything you did. He left you hi and dry often, telling you that what you were doing did not matter as much as what he did. He wanted all of you love and support and gave little in return. Now that you are divorced you find yourself clinging to people who need you all the time and you can figure why you still feel so alone.

These are just examples to help you to jog your memory. If they remind you of the trigger that led you to an imbalanced existence, then that is great. You will also noticed that I did not just use the physical part of an imbalanced life. I touched on the mental and emotional as well. Your trigger may also be spiritual. I know this one well because I was spiritually abused for 5 ½ to 6 years before God woke me up.

The point is that to go forward you must go backwards. Find that spot and work from there. Your path to balance is all about discovering where the imbalance started.
